As senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, Chris oversees commercial and consumer banking, mortgage, and operations. He has spent over 30 years working with American National Bank of Texas clients to find the right solutions to meet their financial needs.

“I take great pride in being a Texas banker with an independently owned and locally based bank,” says Chris. “I will work hard with my staff to provide customers a noticeable difference in the commitment to their business so as to leave no doubt that they have made the right choice in who to trust with their banking needs.”

Chris knows that ANBTX has a strong ownership and management group that understands and appreciates the relationships that make up the customer base. Chris and the rest of the ANBTX staff is committed to providing the community a consistent level of honest service through employees who share strong values and embrace the importance of their roles as community bankers. Serving a wide range of clients in the professional services field as well as residential and commercial builders and developers, Chris takes pride in giving customers a strong sense of confidence in ANBTX.

An active volunteer in the community, Chris has served on numerous city and school appointed boards and commissions. Chris’ past affiliations include Greenville Chamber of Commerce chairman and past director of the McKinney, Rockwall and Forney chambers of commerce (he was named Rockwall Chamber of Commerce Director of the Year in 1993). He is a past member of the Rockwall, Greenville, Plano and McKinney Rotary Clubs as well as a past director for the Heard Natural Science Museum. He served as the chairman of the Long Range Facilities Planning Committee for the McKinney School District as well as the VOTE YES campaign, which was instrumental in passing a $197 million bond proposal for the MISD in 2005. In addition, he served on the MISD Strategic Planning Committee and is a past member of the Collin County planning board. Currently, he is a board member of the McKinney Alliance and Baylor Hospital in McKinney.

Chris has a Bachelor of Science in business from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M University – Commerce) and is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University, the National Commercial Lending School at University of Oklahoma, and the Cannon Institute of Real Estate Lending.
