Mike Gunnels joined American National Bank of Texas as chief risk officer and chief credit officer in 2008. His primary responsibilities include oversight of all aspects of lending and lending policy, as well as implementation of the bank’s Enterprise Risk Management program.

Mike came to American National Bank of Texas from Compass Bank in Dallas where he served as senior vice president of commercial loan administration. Prior to that, he served as chief credit officer of business banking for Bank One Corporation.

Mike has more than 30 years of banking experience including roles as president of Grand Bank Central in Dallas and president of MBank in Garland.
