Donna L. Mays

Donna Mays is an executive vice president and chief human resources officer for ANBTX. She has an extensive background in the financial sector and an enthusiasm for supporting our team of employees. She is certified with Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), and SHRM Human Resources Professional (S-HRM).
Her work centers on ANBTX maintaining its service-oriented culture. “All customers should be treated with respect,” Mays explains. “It is important to make sure their needs are met, while we maintain focus on meeting the bank’s initiatives.” The result is a mutually beneficial banking relationship. Her hope is that customers feel “so engaged, so cared for, and so happy with our service that they'll tell everyone they know.”
Mays joined ANBTX because she believes in the power that a community bank can have to positively impact local economies. “They support the backbone of the American economy — the entrepreneurial small business man. Community banks help our communities grow and thrive, and help support the families in those communities by adding or expanding businesses and creating jobs, income and tax revenue. What would we do without them?”
Donna Mays graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing word games, landscaping and home renovation. Her commitment to the community goes beyond her work. On Thanksgiving, she volunteers at the local food bank, and also dedicates time to support the local schools.
